TRANSPORTATION & INSTALLATION SERVICES
We are proud to retain an in-house team of trained and experienced art handlers who can assist with local and national inventory, packing, crating, shipping, and transportation needs. Our climate-controlled, air-ride vehicles are equipped with alarm systems. Safe delivery is provided by our reliable dual driver availability.
The Chicago Conservation Center offers a variety of shipping options, according to the size of the collection, the severity of the damage to the items, or their value. The first step, before shipping anything directly, is to contact us.
The safe transportation of items to and from The CCC is an important aspect of our business, and we go to great lengths to ensure that all pieces arrive and leave safely. Our Shipping Department has been professionally trained to handle, package, and transport fine art, and offer extensive attention to detail in the handling of fine art items. In addition, The CCC carries transit insurance to further protect the artwork on its way to and from The Center.
Local Pickups and Deliveries
The Center's Shipping Department provides the safest and most convenient transportation for local pickups and deliveries. Our company trucks are fully insured, air-ride, temperature controlled and alarmed to offer complete door-to-door service. Deliveries are scheduled at the owner's convenience.
National On-Location Services
For on-location requirements, The CCC will fly staff conservators directly to the claim site. This offers the safest packing and handling capabilities for delicate works of art. Before removal, each item is inventoried and then transported directly to The Center. Full insurance coverage is provided.
Professional reinstallation
 For smaller collections, items can be shipped to The Center through FedEx. Our staff will locate and contact a FedEx store and provide FedEx with packing and shipping instructions. Shipping and packing costs will intially be covered by our FedEx account. We will also provide full insurance coverage. Once the client drops the item(s) off at the selected FedEx location, FedEx will properly package and ship the item(s) to The Center.
